This course provides an overview of movement examination in Parkinson’s disease. Common outcome measures for balance, gait, and motor symptoms in Parkinson’s are discussed and demonstrated.

Learning Outcomes

  • Participants will be able to list how to assess at least three motor symptoms in Parkinson’s disease pre and post-treatment

  • Participants will be able to identify at least two common balance and gait assessment outcome measures for Parkinson’s disease

  • Participants will be able to identify a motor symptom assessment using the Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS)
